About Us
Professional aquarium & zoo design company.
SYW ARCHITECTURE & LANDSCAPE DESIGN INC. was established in 2003, formerly known as the Architectural Environment Research Laboratory of Zhejiang Academy of Building Research. SYW ARCHITECTURE & LANDSCAPE DESIGN INC.specializes in designing aquariums, zoos, marine parks, as well as museums, urban complexes, and tourist areas themed around ecology and biology. As a professional design company with world-class capabilities in planning , architectural design, landscape design, exhibition design, and maintenance system design for aquariums and zoos,Have been pioneering a new generation of ECO style aquariums and zoos that exhibit the overall ecosystem for many years. Are a key initiator of the INTERNATIONAL GROUP OF ECOZOO&ECORIUM. SYW ARCHITECTURE & LANDSCAPE DESIGN INC. specializes in designing landmark buildings and landscapes with intricate and elegant designs. And has long been dedicated to ecological research, innovating traditional aquarium and zoo maintenance systems with ecosystem design, significantly reducing the operational costs of aquariums, marine parks, and zoos. It has created a new generation of ECO-style aquariums and zoos with extremely low maintenance and operational costs: ECOHALL , ECOWORLD , and ECOHOPSCA.
We develop specialized ECO-architecture for aquariums&zoo.
It delivers a more grandiose display effect and can reduce operational costs by more than threefold.
ECO-Symbiotic Architecture
Eco-symbiotic architecture is professional buildings of the new generation of oceanarium, indoor zoo, and ecological complex that we have been dedicating ourselves to research and development for ten years. It has a magnificent display effect and extremely low operating costs.Develop into ECOHALL and ECOHOPSCA.
Since 2017,we declined all business engagements and devoted ourselves entirely to the research and development of a new generation of eco-friendly aquariums and zoos.we have been responsible for the Zhejiang Province construction research project “Developing a New Ecological Building that Integrates with Natural Ecosystem Symbiosis” and have been conducting systematic research and development on the ecological professional building of the aquarium. The building itself has become the residence of the natural ecosystem and the new Ecotype professional building of the aquarium.
The ecological aquarium professional building types developed include two types
1. As an ecological aquarium and aquarium building that houses a large enclosed natural ecosystem,
It can be used as a new generation of Ecotype aquarium with extremely low operating costs&aquarium, ecological science museum and other functions. A new generation museum that showcases a truly living ecosystem, including a rich and diverse community of living animals and plants. Tourists can admire the various types of forests, wetlands, marine ecosystems, and biological communities displayed in the museum. The main body of the museum is a vibrant closed ecosystem composed of aquatic animals and plants, constructed strictly in accordance with ecological principles. The natural light emitted through skylights is used for photosynthesis, without the need for feeding or daily care. The main organisms can naturally reproduce and thrive in it. As a living museum that combines education and entertainment to popularize ecological science knowledge and spread ecological civilization, it is also an ecological energy-saving building that mainly uses solar energy as energy and rainwater recycling.
2. A complex building of an ecological oceanarium with a symbiotic natural ecosystem and multiple forms of architecture,
With the concept of ecological symbiosis, the aquarium , water park, natural museum, ecological science museum, greenhouse botanic museum, hotel, catering, commerce and other multi business functions are truly organic symbiosis as a whole, becoming a Ecotype urban complex of ecological civilization era with education and entertainment. Integrating natural and artificial multifunctional public buildings to achieve the highest comprehensive benefits. It is a large-scale ecological complex building that fully utilizes solar energy for energy conservation and breathing.
Main technologies:
① The natural ecosystem coexisting within the building does not require energy and basically does not require manual maintenance for more than a year.
② The building adopts passive solar energy and shallow ground energy design, as well as the application of ecological building technologies such as natural lighting, rainwater recovery, and natural ventilation, which can automatically create a comfortable environment suitable for the survival of biological communities with ultra-low energy consumption. Make buildings an ideal habitat for the healthy survival of natural ecosystems. Economic indicators:
We create ECO-LANDSCAPE
for zoo&aquarium
It delivers a more grandiose display effect and can reduce operational costs by more than threefold.
Our firm has successful practical experience and breakthroughs in designing and constructing water landscapes with healthy and complete aquatic ecosystems. We excel in restoring and rebuilding aquatic ecosystems to ensure clear and beautiful underwater landscapes. Becoming one of the pioneers in the restoration and reconstruction of aquatic ecology in domestic landscape water bodies. The main creative designer of our institute has been dedicated to exploring and practicing the reconstruction of local aquatic ecosystems to purify landscape water bodies for five years from 1995 to 1999. Since 2000, he has been responsible for the scientific research project commissioned by the Provincial Department of Construction, titled “Application and Promotion of Ecological Construction of Building Environmental Water Bodies”. He was also responsible for the feasibility study of the westward movement of the West Lake, aquatic ecosystem planning, Xixi National Wetland Park planning, aquatic ecological planning and other ecological planning and design.
Since he was engaged in the design of the aquarium (aquarium) in 2002, We has combined Ecological design with the traditional physical and biochemical life support system design of the aquarium, laying the foundation for creating a new generation of Ecotype aquarium (aquarium), marine park, wetland park, etc. Starting from 2005, we began exploring the establishment of ecological gardens with a complete and balanced ecosystem.Since 2021, we have successfully experimented with a coral reef ecosystem that can maintain balance for many years without relying solely on ecological technology, overcoming the final challenge of creating a new generation of ecological aquarium with extremely low operating costs.
SYW INC. has been exploring and practicing ecological landscaping since 2005. From 2019, We are establishing the first ecozoo- Xizi Lake Ecological Expo Park, which is designed based on ecological principles and includes a whole biological community of animals and plants. It constructs an ecosystem that can self regulate, maintain balance, integrity, and health, and relies on the tight structure of the biological community and a complete food chain and material cycle to maintain the health of forests and grasslands, as well as the clarity of rivers. Without the need for manual daily repair and maintenance, one can achieve eternal relaxation through hard work, achieving the “rule of inaction” of “doing nothing without doing anything”, and realizing the beauty of the natural ecology of “the great beauty of heaven and earth is unspoken”.
Exotic Landscape Design
specializing for zoos and aquariums
We are good at the design of tropical ecological landscape, and has conducted large-scale successful experiments on the subtropical ecological landscape that can withstand low temperature (-3 ℃~-8 ℃) for many years, ensuring that through our passive solar architecture design, we can also achieve zero energy consumption to display the tropical ecological landscape in the north, greatly reducing the operating cost of our Ecotype aquarium complex; At the same time, it has also achieved the feasibility of displaying tropical ecological landscapes in the open air in the Yangtze River Basin, expanding the attractiveness of marine parks and zoo ecological landscapes.
